Hi,

This was my origiinal mail service:

I have been trying to get my version of W10 upgraded to the latest version for a while now. I have W10 Dwelling edition 1803.

So far I accept run trouble-shooter many times, removed 3rd party software and accept created an ISO on my laptop.  When I click on that it tells me that the file "autorun.dll" is decadent or missing - the fault lawmaking is 0x7e.

Can anyone tell me where I can get a safety copy of this .dll file (many sites seem to be very dubious), and when I actually get it - where would I store it?

I don't know what solutions have been proposed on your previous thread . . .

Autorun.dll is a Windows system file, you should non download that from the Internet, delight try the post-obit . . .

Click your Get-go Button, and then only type cmd

From the resulting list, right click Command Prompt and choose 'Run as Ambassador'

Paste this command into Command Prompt and press Enter:

sfc /scannow

When that completes, paste this into Command Prompt and press Enter:

dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

Wait for that command to complete and restart (not shut down) Windows 10 . . .

Hi, give thanks you lot for yourr back up and then far. I got as far every bit entering the restorehealthcommand.  and then information technology came dorsum with:

Error: 87

The online/make clean-upimage/restorehealth option is unknown

If that even so does not execute, tin you please provide a screenshot of that control you used and the resulting error

Hi,

The command executed and and so we went through a lot of preparing and installing Windows.

But - i am even so not at the latest Windows version and the setup.exe command on the ICO still comes back with Download.dll corrupt or missing !!!

I am really sorry about this, but your connected assistance is much appreciated.
